Trained at Oxford, UCL and Southampton to complete his dual specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
He was appointed as a Substantive NHS Consultant at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2009 and regularly provides anaesthesia for all forms of urological operations.
He has anaesthetised over 6,000 patients safely and cared for over 5,000 patients in intensive care to date. He has worked closely with Mr Thiruchelvam for a number of years.
